All set for the 2017 Royal Mountain Bike Road International Marathon
Exhausts with 800 participants, including all the elite of the national mountain bike in the debut of the test of XCM in Ouro Branco (MG)
The first edition of the MTB Royal International Road Marathon is already a success. The 800 places were filled before the end of the registrations and the newest challenge of the world mountain bike promises to be electrifying around the beautiful landscapes of the Serra de Ouro Branco and Serra do Espinhaço, in Minas Gerais, this Sunday, April 23, 2017 .
“All the elite mountain bikers are confirmed, with the participation of Henrique Avancini, Pan-American vice-champion of MTB XCO, Olympic cyclist Rubens Donizete, among other competitors from all corners of the country,” said organizer Felipe Avelar.
The event in the city of Ouro Branco will cover the best tracks of the “Golden Route”, as it was known the paths used by the Portuguese crown on the Royal Road to flow gold production in the time of Brazil-Cologne.
The MTB 2017 International Real Road Marathon will be played on two courses, with 40km or 66km total distance, accumulating 1,386m and 2,226m of altimetry, respectively.
Soon in its debut, the race is part of the International Calendar of the UCI (International Cycling Union), distributing Class 3 points, for the competitors of the categories Masculine and Feminine Super Elite, besides the Brazilian Ranking and Mining Ranking for all the official categories.
One of the highlights of the competition is the differentiated structure offered to the participants, highlighting the mobile unit, named “AveTruck”, a 100% customized truck for sports events, hydration points, showers, among other services for cyclist comfort , as well as two helicopters available for press coverage and emergency situations.
“With all our professionalism, the intention is to value the sport and the companies that believe in the bicycle segment,” adds the captain of Avelar Sports, the company responsible for the main cycling and racing events in Minas Gerais.
